Simple Heatless Curls
Hi Everyone!
Today I am doing something a little bit different for self-care. I am going to teach you how I curl my hair without heat! I actually got this idea from Milabu on Facebook. I will link her page below so that you can check it out if you are interested. She’s got a lot of great beauty tips and video tutorials. I’ve been trying to find a healthier way to style my hair lately. I hate using heat on it all of the time. I’m sure any of you that use heat on your hair know what kind of damage it can do to it. I’ve been noticing a lot of damage lately and I’ve been dying to find something new.
I tried to naturally wave my hair in a similar way but it was only turning out about half of the time, which was very frustrating. When I saw Mila’s video, I thought why not try it out. It looked like it worked great for her. So I did and it worked great. I had to share it with you guys!!
So, how do you do them? First, you want to make sure your hair is damp. I usually do it after I’ve let my hair dry for a little while after getting out of the shower. I also really like to use some products in my hair, so that it doesn’t get too fluffy. I personally use Bed Head Smalltalk and Sexy Healthy Hair Soy Oil. These products also make my hair dry faster, so I can spend less time waiting for my hair to dry. You need a robe belt (just the rope you tie your robe with), two hair ties, and a scrunchie (if you want to pull it back while it’s drying). Comb out your hair like normal and part it where you normally do. Split your hair in the back in half as if you were going to put your hair into pigtails. Place your belt one inch back from the front of your hairline and pull one side up with the scrunchie so it is not in the way. Take one inch of the front of the side you are working on and twist it around the robe belt, combine it with your next inch section and continue until you get to the end of that side of hair. Once you get to the end of the side, continue to twist your hair around the robe until you get to the end of your hair. Grab your hair tie and tie it up to finish. Take the hair out of the first scrunchie used to separate sides and repeat the process. I have attached a video below to show how it’s done.
I really love to curl my hair this way and I have been doing it for a few weeks now. Let me know if you try it out, I would love to hear about it. If you loved today’s post, please subscribe below!

At Home Abs
Hey Everyone!
Today I’ve got an at home ab workout just in time for summer!! These are some of my favorite ab exercises that I love to use frequently. I recommend doing abs about two or three times a week. Any more than that can make it so your abs don’t have time to recover in between. I’ve found that doing it this way helps to build your abs faster.
I do three sets of the following:
Butterfly Sit-ups 10 Reps
30 Second Plank
Side Plank Hip Dips 10 Reps (Each Side)
Heel Touchers 10 Reps (Each Heel)
Here is a video of me doing these exercises so that you can see what they are if you are unfamiliar with them! I have sped up this video quite a bit so when you do it keep your movements slow and controlled. You will see results faster if you do this.
I hope you loved today’s workout! Let me know what you think in the comments below. If you want to see more workouts like this please subscribe below for weekly emails. Thank you so much for checking out today’s post.

Legit Longboard
Hi Everyone!
Today I am going to talk about one of my favorite activities to do in the summer and that is longboarding! I have had two longboards since I started, my first was stolen out of my garage when I was living in North Salt Lake. My Landyacht is definitely my favorite by far. My husband Shane got it for me for my wedding present. We had been longboarding so many times before and we had so many amazing memories so it was a very thoughtful gift!
As you all know, snowboarding is my absolute favorite sport of all time. The only problem is that I can’t do it year round. I believe that longboarding is the next closest thing! I love the feeling that I get when I can feel the wind flying through my hair. It is so exhilarating!
So why choose Landyachtz over another brand? They state “The short answer is that we love skateboarding. We make the highest quality skateboards. We ride them. We scrutinize them. We push them to their limits. We figure out how to make them better. As our products evolve, so do our experiences. This symbiosis helps drive the culture of skateboarding.” You can definitely tell how much they care about their products when you ride one! My husband doesn’t have a Landyacht so he’s always asking if he can have a turn on mine!
They even have a board finder on their website!
Where can you get a Landyacht? One of my favorite skate shops is Crossroads Skate Shop in Ogden, Utah! If you are a local here in Utah, you’ve got to check them out. This is where Shane got my board and I’ve been there multiple times for snowboarding gear as well! You can get them off of their website landyachtz.com. You can also find them on Amazon!

Savory Steamed Broccoli
Hi Everyone!
Today I am talking about a healthy snack that is quick and easy to make, steamed broccoli! I know a lot of us are working from home these days and I don’t know about you but I have been browsing my pantry and fridge for snacks all day long. It’s weird how when you aren’t home you don’t feel hungry as often. The hardest part for me is trying to snack on something healthy! I have a solution to this problem, at least for some of the time.
Ingredients
1-2 Broccoli Crowns (I like the crowns because they are cheaper, usually about $1 a crown)
4 Cups Water
Spray Butter (to liking)
Salt/Pepper for Taste
Instructions
- Start boiling your water in a medium saucepan.
- While you are waiting, cut your broccoli crowns into small pieces to your preference. Add these to your steamer basket.
- Once the water starts boiling and your broccoli is in your steamer basket, place the steamer basket into your saucepan and cover. Change heat to medium. Set a timer for 10 minutes.
- When the timer goes off, remove from heat and enjoy! I like to add I can’t believe it’s not butter spray butter and salt/pepper to taste!
I always try to keep a few crowns of broccoli in my fridge, along with other fruits and vegetables so that I can eat healthier snacks. I have even found that when I make too much broccoli for a snack you can just put it in the fridge and it heats up really well. Making it even easier to choose to eat something healthy. I have added a link below to a steamer basket that is similar to mine!
